As previously announced, the Sewer Authority has snared $17.6 million in federal stimulus aid to help design and build a new Hamburg Drain control facility. The authority will contribute $8.8 million to a project that is expected to create about 200 temporary jobs during an 18-month construction period… Brown also announced today that the city is joining a bipartisan coalition that is lobbying for a stronger federal commitment to upgrade infrastructure across the country. Building America's Future was formed by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzennegger, Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
