On December 8, 2016, The Atlantic brought policymakers, experts and innovators together to discuss America’s infrastructure and transportation systems. Building America’s Future Co-Chair and former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell was a featured speaker in a conversation about America’s failing infrastructure grade with CityLab.com editor, Sommer Mathis. The conversation touched on how the U.S. can leverage infrastructure investment to create job opportunities and the importance of receiving funding and financing from the federal government.
Other speakers included Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and former Secretary of Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. For more photos and updates from the event, see BAF’s Twitter feed.
