Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell today announced a $15.4 million state and federal investment to build a modern intermodal facility to centralize and improve access to public transportation at the Pottsville Centre Station.  “To connect our citizens in an affordable, accessible way, we must ensure that the investments we make in our communities are met with infrastructure that supports the sustainable transportation options citizens are demanding,” Governor Rendell said. “Turning this section of downtown into a transportation hub, with space for further economic improvements, is a great example of how cooperation among all levels of government can make a positive community impact that benefits residents and businesses.”
