Ed Rendell, in a barnburner of a speech "We need entrepreneurs to step up and say, 'Guys, we're having the living daylights beaten out of us. If we don't do something quickly, we're sunk, we're a cooked goose.' " And what might that something be? Rendell recommended executives throwing their muscle, financial and otherwise, behind lawmakers "who will bite the bullet, who will do the right thing, and stop supporting those who don't."
